Moo Moo Cow Blanket

A friend wanted a blanket that her buddy's one year old son can idenify with. He is born in the year of the cow. Hence the cow blanket was developed.

I was asked the question - why are all your products for baby girls?

Because I have a baby girl! But yes, concern noted. I believe the moo moo cow is pretty unisex.

Crochet Necklace

This was initially a birthday present bunnie mummy crochet for me. She tried a few colors and a few flower sizes and finally settled on one which we both think look the best when wrapped round the neck...

Black being the ideal color because it is both classy and understated. I loved it and for the first time in my life, I actually bought dresses just to fit the necklace.

Giraffe Blanket

Bunnie Mummy went blanket crazy and designed another collection - the giraffe strolling on the hill...

She said the concept is baby giraffe found the night very cooling and so decided to head out for a stroll under the quiet skies... Nice... all my friends thought that was the sun...

But well done bunnie mummy! This design is so different from Mr Moon and my gal loved it. I shall name the giraffe - Bobby

Animal A to Z Chart

Yes I know. My baby is only 5 months old and may be too young to learn her ABCs.. but I am sure she can be inspired with bright colorful animals and start to associate the yellow bear to the letter B and the white sheep to S!!! And who says learning A-Z has to be as boring as A for Apple and B for Boys?

1. The chart should have a theme.

For the time being, the theme shall be animals. (Maybe the next collection can be household objects!!)

2. The chart should be interactive.

It is no fun just pointing at a 2D chart and read out the names of the animals to a child. So I make all the animals detachables (Velcro at the back!) These 26 animals can function as an individual stuff toy in its own right but they can come together to complete the A-Z chart.

3. The chart should foster the spirit of learning

For older kids more than 4 years old, I like to split them up into teams and each team would compete to see who will fill up the chart in the correct order in the shortest time. Because this chart becomes a game to be played with one or many children, it makes learning A-Z fun and the weaker or younger kids quickly catch up with the rest. And hey, even teams of 30 years old may not get the chart right!!!

4. The chart should grow

After the kids learn D for Duck by heart, I can replace it with a Deer. Up the difficulty level!

There are big projects and there are small projects. The animal series hairclips is one of those small projects I enjoy making in my free time. However, I soon realise that this collection is not easy to make.

One, the animals are too small and demand great craftsmanship and unwavering attention to every stitch. Two, there is only this few steps you can do to make the animals look cute. The design is so minimal that once a stitch is off, you will not be able to capture the soul of the animal. I really need to be in a happy and relaxed frame of mind to work on this collection.
